You want to Put up a new bird House in your yard

B.B.E.

Bird Houses can be put up at any time of the year. Your new bird house should be hung at least five foot of the ground and be placed where a cat or raccoon can not get to it easy as they are predators of birds. Birds will need time to locate their homes and area before they will nest in them in the early spring. If you were to add a bird feeder or two and a birdbath to your yard this would really welcome the birds to your yard. Remember to keep the birdhouses about twenty feet away from the bird feeders and birdbath. They may bring larger birds in and make the smaller birds feel not safe if there bird house is to close. The birds may also use the bird houses as a roosting shelter during the colder months. A good time to clean the birdhouses would be after the nesting season has ended in the fall. Doing this once a year will keep your birdhouses clean of disease for the next bird family.
